Fashion to Keep Your Kids Looking and Feeling Cool

We are loving the soaring temperatures this week but it’s hard to keep your cool when it’s 32 degrees out there! We have put together our favourite summer strappy and cotton styles designed to help you beat the heat.

1. Goa Dress
This beautiful summer maxi girls party dress is perfect for sultry summer nights. We love the unique ikat chiffon print and the vibrant colour with just a hint of gold trim on the strap. Looks cute with flip flops or strappy sandals.
2. Pippa Dress
This vintage inspired cotton girls dress is an old fashioned favourite of ours. Pure cotton voile cut in a loose shape with pretty lace trim. It comes in either a classic pale aqua colour way or a zesty lemon colour for a more modern take. Great for younger girls.
3. Coachella Jumpsuit
This cotton crepe kids jumpsuit is perfect for crumpling up in a ball and shoving in a suitcase or indeed for prancing around the garden when Britain is boiling. It’s a little bit disco with the 70’s inspired silver zig zag trim. Great for day or night.
4. Lola Dress & Tribe Playsuit
Our beautifully designed woven 100% cotton geo jacquard lends itself to summer perfectly. When the heat rises you can choose between the chic girls halter neck dress (great for getting a tanned back) or the more playful short girls playsuit.
Both styles are adorned with hot pink pom poms and scream SUMMER FUN.
5. Colada Dress
This cross back style is perfect for heatwaves. Easy wrap around fit girls dress with deep pockets and full skirt.
Pass the pina colada’s please (non alcoholic of course!)
6. Funky Sun Dress
Swirly, twirly, girly cotton crepe layered summer girls sundress with 70’s inspired silver trim. Fabulous.
7. Amandine Dress
Super light cotton voile girls dress with intricate vintage inspired embroidered detail. Based on a Portobello find we love the soft colours in both the peach and the aqua colour way. It also happens to be the prefect girls dress for a heatwave being both light and protective to small shoulders.
8. Folk Dress & Budapest Dress
When it’s super hot I really like to wear fresh white cotton and that’s what I want my kids to be wearing too.
Add some beautiful embroidery and some scattered sequins and you’re ready to be the chicest thing on the beach.

Mini Pina Colada Recipe from Lizzie Loves Healthy

It’s summer time and that means one thing…cocktails (child friendly of course)! We’ve teamed up with Lizzie Loves Healthy who have given us a delicious alcohol free summer cocktail recipe for you to try. We can’t get enough of them!

Mini Pina Colada

All the freshness of a summery drink without the alcohol and less of the stickiness.

What you’ll need

100g fresh pineapple chunks

3 ice cubes

50 ml coconut milk (from a tin)

½ a lime juiced

100 ml Sparkling water

Makes 2 small glasses

Instructions

Place the ice cubes and pineapple chunks in a high speed blender and blitz until you have a liquid. Add the coconut milk and lime juice and whizz together.

Place another couple of ice cubes into two glasses.

Pour over the pineapple mixture and top with sparkling water. Stir together gently with a swizzle stick and serve with a slice of lime on the edge of the glass.

*You can always turn it into an adult cocktail by adding a shot of rum to the glass.
